I have been researching my family tree and found a strange connection to yours. My Auntie listed her address and employer as Dr DeMuth of 1056 Richelieu Street in May of 1942. (maybe Alma lived with her daughter and Dr DeMuth?) Apparently she was their maid before she was sent to a Japanese Internment Camp in the Interior of BC. I can't imagine her as a very good maid as she was so gregarious and loved to smoke but there it is. I don't imagine she lived there very long as she was just 18 before she was forced to leave. Unfortunately I don't have any more information about Alma. But if there is any picture with a random young Japanese girl in the background that could be my auntie! We too have very little from that time as everything was lost due to the wartime measures. Good luck in your hunt. Best, SarahAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02934986435423771387noreply@blogger.com
