Photographs taken on my various Graduation Days in Vancouver BC: from a simple Grade 6 ceremony and banquet at Renfrew Elementary School, more formal Grade 12 from Vancouver Technical Secondary School (Academic) where I was the Valedictorian; then to University of BC at Vancouver BC where I first received a BScN in 1966, then a MA (CnslgPsy) in 1987 after separation/divorce.

Those are great -- and you've given me an idea! I'm glad you are sharing YOUR history -- that's what your family will really appreciate!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy - that was my idea! That my family might enjoy these photos. Stories come later, but this is a start. I might do a few more of my own bits. Appreciate your comments.
DeleteFantastic photos - and don't you look ecstatic in your Master's photo.
ReplyDeleteI was SOOOOOO glad to be finished! I had "too many" science credits at University so to get an MA I had to take some 3rd and 4th year Arts courses first, which dragged the process out rather long! That Graduation Day was fabulous - sunny day, I had a good-paying job already, my friends and family were there, and I was so relieved to be at the other end of that tunnel! Thanks for dropping by, Jill.
DeleteYour looking good Celia, and younger in the last photo. I just noticed that of all your hobbies and interests, Genealogy is the only thing in All Caps!
ReplyDelete"Snort!" You're right - it's become my No.1 passion. Well, right behind family and friends. I also have been writing for most of my life (non-creative), and have recently taken several courses on creative writing which is another new challenge. And my garden keeps me sane as I watch the growth of wonderful veggies and a few herbs... pick a strawberry in the morning, listen to birds. Thanks for commenting, Barbara!
DeleteLovely early photos, Celia -- I never realized before just how much Pia looks like you when you were younger!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with your friend above; your own descendants will likely want to read about YOU and your times, one of these days/years.
Hug,
Carol xo
Thanks Carol! I was so surprised to see your post here - much appreciated. I am so pleased when family drops by to see/read my posts. :) Cheers and hugs.
DeleteBeautiful photos Celia! Lovely photos of a lovely lady.
ReplyDelete"Blush!" Thanks Jana - I appreciate your very kind words!! Both my daughters look quite a bit like me, in different ways. Thanks for dropping by!
