Family history and genealogy research on both my ancestors & my ex-husband's ancestors, with personal memories, family photographs, old maps, and more. Ancestors from Northern Ireland, Northern England, Midlands England, Germany, and the Netherlands: all immigrants to North America, from very early 1600s onwards. Pilgrims to Palatines, finding my roots is a big adventure!

"National Siblings Day" -? Okay - here's mine!
1947:
I'm on the left, big sister on the right, well-loved baby brother in the middle, raring to get down those steps and go-go-go!!
Mom sewed most of our clothes, often from hand-me-downs from friends. And we dressed alike often since it was easier to make two the same (often similar sizes, too), into our early teens. Oh, and did you notice the rag curlers? I had very curly hair and these made big fat ringlets. Thanks for stopping by, Loretta.
Such a cute photo Celia! And your smile is adorable!

So cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sally - we were all pretty cute back then! My big sis and I are only 15 months apart. Here we're wearing plaid skirts our Mom made for us.
DeleteCelia, this is an adorable picture. You are so cute! I love the plaid skirts.
