I'm on the left, big sister on the right, well-loved baby brother in the middle, raring to get down those steps and go-go-go!!
Family history and genealogy research on both my ancestors & my ex-husband's ancestors, with personal memories, family photographs, old maps, and more. Ancestors from Northern Ireland, Northern England, Midlands England, Germany, and the Netherlands: all immigrants to North America, from very early 1600s onwards. Pilgrims to Palatines, finding my roots is a big adventure!

Welcome!
Family, friends, and others - I hope you enjoy these pages about our ancestors and their lives. Genealogy has become somewhat of an obsession, more than a hobby, and definitely a wonderful mystery to dig into and discover. Enjoy my writing, and contact me at celia.winky at gmail dot com if you have anything to add to the stories. ... Celia Lewis

So cute!
Thanks Sally - we were all pretty cute back then! My big sis and I are only 15 months apart. Here we're wearing plaid skirts our Mom made for us.
Celia, this is an adorable picture. You are so cute! I love the plaid skirts.
Mom sewed most of our clothes, often from hand-me-downs from friends. And we dressed alike often since it was easier to make two the same (often similar sizes, too), into our early teens.
Oh, and did you notice the rag curlers? I had very curly hair and these made big fat ringlets. Thanks for stopping by, Loretta.
Such a cute photo Celia! And your smile is adorable!
